Introducing TextMyGov
The Village of St. Johnsville is thrilled to introduce TextMyGov, a convenient and smart text message notification service that will enable residents to effortlessly receive important notifications from the Village. Residents may receive notifications for Village events, boil water advisories, water breaks, road closures, water and sewer bill reminders, tax bills reminders, board meetings, public hearings, yard debris cleanup, marina concerts, garage sale weekend dates, trash weekend dates, among many other important alerts.
The Village will officially launch this service to the public on January 9th, 2025. Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the Village initiating the service. You can choose to opt-out at any time by texting "STOP".
If you don't receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword "ST JOHNSVILLE" to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply "YES" to confirm opt-in. Once you've been opted-in, you're all set! You will receive notifications from the Village with any important updates and information that we feel you need to know.
If you no longer wish to receive these notifications from the Village, you can choose to opt-out at any time by texting "STOP" to 91896.
The Village's use of this technology is another example of how our community enhances resident services by implementing 21st-century solutions. We're excited about this new way of communicating with residents and look forward to sharing important Village notifications.
